You spice it up by adding a few drops of your favourite fragrance oil, or by adding essential oils, your body butter could have added benefits! For example, adding Lavender Oil might help with skin irritation and inflammation, or adding Tea Tree Oil and Peppermint Oil could make a great anti-fungal foot cream.
How to make Whipped Body Butter
Ingredients:
2 Parts Raw Shea Butter
2 Parts Cocoa Butter
1 Part Coconut Oil
A Few Drops of Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils
-------
Container to store the final product
Mixer
You can make as much as you like - for yourself, your friends or even enough to sell! This is why we made the recipe in parts. If you want to use 50 grams of shea butter then use the same amount of cocoa butter and ½ as much coconut oil. You can adjust and experiment however you want.
Method:
- Melt your shea butter, coconut oil and cocoa butter in a double boiler. You can also add your fragrance oil or essential oils at this point.
- Once all the butters are melted and thoroughly mixed, strain it and place in the refrigerator until cool and the top begins to harden slightly.
- Blend with a mixer on high speed for 3 - 4 minutes or longer until you get the consistency you want!
- Once whipped, place your luscious body butter into an airtight container.
Your whipped body butter is all finished! Perfect as a gift, or just for yourself! This formula is super nourishing and perfect for dry skin. We love to use it before bed to wake up to hydrated skin. Shea Butter has so many amazing benefits! We hope you love the recipe - tag us on Facebook and Instagram when you make it!

Hi Jubelene! So when the recipe is in parts, that means you can decide how much you want to make, and the parts will help you with the ratio. So for example – Lets say 1 part = 25g. That means you will need 50g of Shea butter, 50g of Cocoa butter, and only 25g of Coconut Oil. But you can make it on a much bigger or smaller scale than that, YOU decide how much you want to use as “1 part”. I hope this makes sense! If you have any more questions, you can contact the Brightpack team for assistance. :)
When you say 2 parts and 1 part how much is that. Please clarify. Thank you.
